I didn't really want to do this, but I've been on the fence with the little guys since the whole sewing for them thing flew out the window. I've found someone who is considering a layaway on Limho, and I posted a feelers for Zombielad here. I'm still not 100% sure if I'm going to let him go, even if I do get an offer, but mostly, I'm upset with myself for not being able to really do what I'd like with them, which is 1) find or make them the rockstar-esque outfits they deserve and 2) get them made over with blushing, etc. I'm so happy with how complete Junya is (except, yes, the shoes, I know), and it's disappointing that I can't achieve that with the little guys.

I've made it back from Otakon in one piece, somehow. LONG drive on the way back, it felt like we were on the Jersey Turnpike for a good 3 hours because of traffic. It mostly cleared up once we got into New York (wtf? How can there be more traffic in DELAWARE than in New York?!), but we still didn't make it back in the door until just after 1 am.

Unfortunately, I've returned to a huge mess here in Boston. Moving out of this place in the next month for sure. I'm not even really sure what I'm going to do right now, but I guess it'll work out. I sure as hell hope so.

Woke up to the apartment being like 58 degrees. Thankfully, THAT got fixed first thing this morning, or else I would've been hella grumpy >_>

Miki is getting muchly closer to finished. I just have to put the gold thingies on the sleeves, attach the sleeves, and then hem the bottom and add the rest of the decorations (buttons, closures, random bauble thingu) and it's DONE! Well, after I get a wig and pants and shoes, anyway >_>;; Gah. It's close, though!

Next up: Utena's school uniform, then Juri's jacket (for the awesome sephyelysian and amet ^_^) Now that I've gone and made all the mistakes on mine, finishing the other two should be pretty drama-free. If all goes well, I'll have the patterns for them cut out tonight, it'll just be a matter of cutting out the fabric, and then dying/putting stuff together. *flail* I haven't sewn in soooo long, it feels great to finally have a project :D

And Megacoooooooon~! It's so weird to be psyched about a convention. The last 2 years that I've been hitting Megacon have been sorta anti-climactic, since I was usually too jet lagged and exhausted from airplanes and travel to be truly *squee* about it. But this year, it was a surprise that I was going to be able to go in the first place, so I'm really happy about it. Even if I'm missing Voltaire AGAIN. (he couldn't make it last year, and this year, he's doing his concert on Friday night >_<) Tentative ambitious cosplay plans are Riza Hawkeye from FMA for myself, and maybe MAYBE Roy Mustang for Daniel. Though I might just be doing the more relaxed version of her costume sans jacket in interest of finishing Daniel's costume >_> The fact that Daniel's cosplaying at ALL makes my brain go 'splody, but still, stranger things have happened. XD

Umm umm... Anime Boston! That's the other thing I wanted to mention :D I'm going to be running one panel, as well as helping out on two others. My panel's going to be on Sunday morning at 11am, and it's called 'So you want to Ryuugaku?' ( Which leads me to the request bit in the title of this post... )

The other two panels I'm going to be on are "Doujinshi Culture", with dokool, which is Saturday night at 9pm (I'll find a way to get to your b-day thingu, solar_cat!!), and the wonderful History of moe (? title) with kudasaru (time/date TBA?). @_@ SO much to do! I can't wait! :D

Off to get Miki's sleeves attached and then to work until close >____<;; I don't even want to THINK about packing to go back to FL! @_@;;

YAY! I got tickets to see L'arc next month for their 15th Anniversary Tour! Now mind you, to L'arc 'tour' is two shows in Tokyo and then they're done, but still~ I really look forward to seeing them in an environment in which the crowd gives a shit. I mean, sure it was insane if you were in the floor seats in Baltimore, but the people up in the stands were just... blah. They were like "we don't geeeeeeet it". At least they perked up when they played the FMA song, Ready Steady Go!!, but aside from that... blah.

Recently, I've taken to trying to eat different things (aside from, like, rice... as we saw with my last post XD). Anyway, I was looking for information on how to prepare tofu, and I came across this site, which happened to include a recipe for Tofu Cheesecake.

Has anyone ever tried this before? Or any other similarly weird tofu-based foods? I might give it a whirl when I get back to the states... because really... tofu has GOT to be healthier than cream cheese. But, the question is... does it TASTE as good? (somewhat skeptical of this)
